Our Fast Track Plumbing Courses are designed to give you a good understanding in all areas of domestic plumbing, whether you are a total beginner or someone who has some knowledge of plumbing. The Courses will develop your plumbing skills to help you go on to confidently gain work with a construction company or renovate your own property. These courses would be ideal for the DIY enthusiast.
Our syllabus offers skills in both Kitchen and Bathroom plumbing, including learning how to cope with any emergency plumbing tasks around the house.
Plumbing techniques are varied and complex. Whilst these courses will not make you a professional plumber, we are offering the opportunity for you to learn the essential principles of domestic plumbing. This will enable you to tackle plumbing jobs around the house or to use this as your introduction to a new career.
Our 5 day Fast Track Plumbing Course will include:
- Health & Safety.
- Identification of plumbing tools and materials used.
- Pipework: including bending, soldering and hand jointing with flexi pipe.
- Identifying water supplies.
- Types of valves and taps.
- Repairing taps.
- Hot water cylinders (not including gas).
- Taps, cisterns, valves and pressure testing.
- Repairing toilet cisterns and ball valves.
- Bathroom and Kitchen waste.
- Fault finding and diagnostics.
- Understanding domestic plumbing systems in our simulated “home plumbing” area.
- National Plumbing Guidelines Rules & Regulations.
Our 10 day Advanced Fast Track Plumbing Course will include:
- Health & Safety.
- Identification of plumbing tools and materials used.
- Pipework: including bending, soldering and hand jointing with flexi pipe.
- Identifying water supplies.
- Types of valves and taps.
- Repairing taps.
- Heating systems and radiators (not including gas).
- Hot water cylinders (not including gas).
- Taps, cisterns, valves and pressure testing.
- Soil and waste pipes.
- Installing and testing radiators.
- Installing toilet cisterns and ball valves.
- Fault finding and diagnostics.
- Understanding domestic plumbing systems in our simulated “home plumbing” area.
- National Plumbing Guidelines Rules & Regulations.
- Over 50 hours “hands on” learning.
As with all of our courses we will cover the essentials of Safe Working including Health & Safety and full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). PPE will be provided whilst on your course.
Learning Hours
This 5 day Fast Track Plumbing Course is from Mon- Fri 8:30am - 6.00pm
We will make no bones about it, you will be working hard! At Trade Skills Academy we promise the best value for money. Other training centres will work you from 9.30 - 4.30 for 4 ½ days per week – ok if you can afford the cost of a 2 weeks away from home or out of work and you will pay double for the privilege. We believe that Time and Money are both precious commodities, therefore we are prepared to put the time in for the right amount of money!
