Our Fast Track Tiling Courses are designed to give you a good understanding in all areas of tiling whether you are a total beginner or someone who has some knowledge of tiling. The Courses will develop your tiling skills and enable you to take the next steps to become a professional tiler: running your own business, confidently gaining work with a construction company or renovating your own property. For those with some tiling experience or looking to work in the tiling industry our 10 Day Advanced Fast Track Tiling Course will be what you are looking for and will give you the confidence to tackle most situations that you will come across in your tiling career.
Our 5 day Fast Track Tiling Course will include:
- Health & Safety.
- Demonstrating the tools that will be used.
- Cutting tiles using: RUBI cutters, Nippers and Wet Cutters.
- Understanding adhesives and their uses on different surfaces using BAL adhesives.
- Substrates and preparation.
- Tiling round windows and reveals.
- Coping with uneven surfaces and awkward areas.
- Tiling splashbacks and pipe boxes.
- Grouting.
- Business Start-Up.
You will work in a full size bathroom bay area equipped with sanitaryware and you will learn how to cut around obstacles such as WCs and pedestals using quality RUBI cutters and BAL adhesives. You will also be shown how to grout and finish to a high standard.
We will cover most aspects of tiling, and feel confident that after spending 5 days with us you will be ready to tackle everyday tiling requirements.
Our 10 day Advanced Fast Track Tiling Course will include:
- Health & Safety.

- Cutting tiles using: RUBI cutters, Nippers and Wet Cutters.
- Understanding adhesives and their uses on different surfaces using BAL adhesives.
- Substrates and preparation.
- Setting out.
- Intricate shapes, borders and patterns.
- Tiling round windows and reveals.
- Coping with uneven surfaces and awkward areas.
- Tiling splashbacks and pipe boxes.
- Cutting and tiling to WCs and pedestals.
- Grouting.
- Tiling with borders and trims.
- Tiling up and over steps.
- Tanking systems and wet rooms.
- Business Start- Up.
- Over 50 hours “hands on” learning.
As with all of our courses we will cover the essentials of Safe Working including Health & Safety and full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). PPE will be provided whilst on your course.
Learning Hours
Our Fast Track Tiling Courses run from Mon- Fri 8:30am – 6.00pm
We will make no bones about it, you will be working hard! At Trade Skills Academy we promise the best value for money. Other training centres will work you from 9.30 - 4.30 for 4 ½ days per week - ok if you can afford the cost of weeks away from home or out of work and you will pay a lot more for the privilege. We believe that Time and Money are both precious commodities, we are prepared to put the time in for the right amount of money!
